Hailey's Fish8.31.2005This blog is just for miss Hailey M. I temporarily adopted shimmy for you while Amber figures out how to add shimmy without messing up the rest of her blog. ahhh blogging...I love it!!!!8.24.2005ok, so I am addicted to blogging now. All thanks to Amber. Maybe it's just because I spent the evening at home. Summer has been crazy busy, between work, (haha right THAT'S why I was busy) hanging out with Amber and Hailey, camping, being with Darcy, (and other friends) summer has seemed to have slipped away. I don't actually know where summer went. Looking back it seems like I haven't gotten a whole lot accomplished. None-the-less it has been a good summer, dispite the rainyness when we were camping. I still enjoyed the biking and having numerous people come up during our two week stay. And the two day come home from Wednesday to Saturday because people were missed, Darcy people to be specific. Anyways back to this whole blogging thing. I have seriously been on all evening checking out other peoples blogs and trying to find new things to add to mine. Such as weather pixies and site counters and such! I know that this evening could be considered boarderline obsession, but in my defence I was gone for two weeks and these past two days have been spent on the field (for the first time...about4 hours and I didn't get bored once!) and just hanging out with Darcy. But today I had nothing up so I caught up with MSN friends that I haven't talked to all summer and blogging. So all in all I think it's all legit. Well that is all for now. I finally learnt how to add pictures without downloading "hello kitty" (...no wait thats the cat...just "hello") Camping Pictures...After about 10 minutes of dads toast still not being done he decided to take matters into his own hands. Needless to say a new toaster was purchased. Here's the before of the toaster...
...and the after.... There were some really beautiful sunsets while we were there. It's truly amazing what God can create! August 9th-22nd8.23.2005These past two weeks have been spent camping at Hecla Island. We had an awesome time, even though the weather was on the fridged side. Mom, dad, and I headed up on Tuesday and spent the next two days biking and just relaxing in the camper. On Friday Kevin and Mandy (my dad used to work with Kevin) came to join us for three days. It was nice to see them again after so long. Kevin is quite the funny guy. Darcy also came up on Friday, and after getting him moved into the tent we were talking when we all of a sudden heard a weird noise. We didn't think too much of it but I asked out of curiosity if that sounded like a baby?! I got up and looked out the tent door to see none other than my sister Amber, her husband Erik, and Hailey standing there. They had planned to come up the next day, but only if Erik didn't have to work. It was such a nice surprise and we had a lot of fun with them biking and playing games. Sunday Darcy and Erik packed up and headed back to work on Monday. Luckily Amber and Hailey could stay for a few more days!!! My brother Tyler then came up on Monday and again there was a lot of biking done! Hecla is known for not being the most entertaining place on earth but there is biking, biking, and more biking. There are so many beautiful trails and paths that you can explore. I can honestly say I never got boared the whole time I was there. Uncle Jerry, Auntie Renee and the kids also came up for a few days and it was nice to get to know there family better and to go fishing with them. Tyler and I came home Wednesday and I later went back up with Uncle Mike and Auntie Martha on Saturday until Monday. I guess staying for two weeks was too long for me not to see Darcy. Friday we went to Kelsey's and watched a movie and hung out with some of our friends. It was good to see everyone again! It felt like I had been away forever already. Although camping was so much fun and relaxing I missed home. Something about being so far away and knowing you can't see your boyfriend, neice, sister, and rest of your friends and family makes you miss them even more. Now that I am back home things will return to normal and I jump into a six day work week. I know that I shouldn't complain but being on holidays for two weeks makes it hard to go back to work...benefits of work do include that Amber, Hailey, and I are going shopping tomorrow and we all know that I love to buy clothes!!! My Second Attempt at Blogging...8.19.2005This post will be short seeing as I have been blogging for about an hour or so and it hasn't been working too swiftly. Well I best be getting back to adding weather pixies and such! |
